Felt Bow Obsessed

Ever since I became an Etsy stalker for cute new bows for Ellie, I knew that I wanted to figure out how to make felt bows. I am not a big bow person - I don't like them huge and I don't like a lot of bling. So these simple, petite bows in all of the colors of the rainbow were right up my alley. Last Saturday, I ran by JoAnn's and grabbed the supplies to make my bows and see if I could actually get a little crafty.

I haven't had a chance to do pictures for a full tutorial, which I hope to accomplish this week (it's looking like I'll only have 1-2 posts per week until I can figure out how to incorporate blogging into my life with two kids that barely sleep).

I created my bows based on this tutorial by I Heart Naptime - but I switched up some of the supplies and techniques, which I hope to share later. I also had tiny elastic that I purchased on Etsy to make headbands and also some barrettes, so there's a mix of both in these pics.

Please note that all of my pics are from Instagram because that has become the only way that I document anything in my life these days...

A couple of people mentioned that they'd love to buy some of these. I'm hoping to test them out on Ellie to make sure they won't fall apart, then I think I might be open to selling some. They are super simple to make, so it could easily be done yourself though!

    1. She wasn't a huge fan at first, but now she'll take a couple of naps in it during the day. We tried to use it at night when she was inconsolable, but she didn't want anything to do with it. We shall see as she gets older!

    2. We're debating about getting one or not, or if just a swing will suffice. Thoughts?

    3. Haiden LOVED his Fisher Price swing, and it was a rough 1-2 weeks trying to get him out of it once he got too big. So far, we like how compact the Mamaroo is and all of the options it gives you. You're really only saving about $60 on Amazon if you get the FIsher Price swing vs. the Mamaroo, so it's really just personal preference. Ultimately, the baby is going to decide what he likes. :)
