HUT is Going to Disney - Time to Prep!

We are taking HUT to visit Disneyland next week and I'm so excited. While it's been years since I've been there, it's going to feel like taking two kiddos because it'll be the U's first trip as well. I've researched online, pinned some tips and received some great advice from Kim and Amber (pro Disney visitors, in my eyes).

So here's what I've learned so far, pre-trip:

1) Download the MouseWait app.

2) Try to get there as early as possible to hit up the rides.

3) Disneyland is actually more preggo friendly than I would have thought! Looks like there will be plenty of activities that I can participate in with my two guys.

4) Taking a toddler isn't an insane idea. Kim did it and her daughter seemed to love it! We figured, this year he'll actually be free so why the heck not!

5) It looks like many schools have already started out here in California, so I'm hoping that that will help with wait times and crowds. Hoping.

6) Here are some other resources that I've gathered:

Anyone else out there have some great tips to share for those of us newbie Disney-goers?

  1. You will have so much fun! I love Disney Parks and my husband had never been to one so we actually went for our honeymoon! One thing I saw parents doing that I loved was instead of buying autograph books they brought mats to photo frames and had them signed. That way you can frame the photo next to each autograph!

  2. I've never been to Disneyland, but I've been to Disney World many times. I wet with my three year old niece in June. We used the Disney Parks App (its available for WDW & WDL), but it's only available for Verizon users. It was really helpful with wait times, show schedules and dining reservations. That was my first trip using it and it was a life saver with a 3 year old. We knew how long waits were before trecking to a new area. You will have so much fun!Make sure you get a first visit button for HUT. Everyone at Disney will give him extra attention and try to make his trip " magical". We had one for our anniversary a few years ago and ended up having a few fun memories because of the pin.

  3. This recent post from Tatertots & Jello might be useful. I enjoyed reading everyone's tips and suggestions. I don't think I'm daring enough to bring my 15 month old to an amusement park just yet, but I am looking forward to bringing him to Disney World within the next couple of years.

Wishing you the very best on your trip to Disney. I'm sure HUT and U will love it!
