Our First Mommy Playdate - The Easter Party

Last Wednesday, my neighbor, good friend and dinner-exchange partner, Jenn, had a little Easter party at her house for all of the mommies and kiddos that she knows. I invited one of my friends with a new babe and we headed over with Easter eggs, dishes and goodies galore for the party.

Prepare for image overload below.

We started off inside with a nice brunch buffet and mimosa punch. HUT ate for the first time at a kiddy table and did pretty well.

Then the mommies dug in and the kids ran all over the house. Once everyone was finished, it was time to head outside for an Easter egg hunt. HUT didn't quite understand the concept of picking up the eggs, so we ended up with a total of two - both of which had sidewalk chalk inside, so I was happy to have that and not candy hanging around our house!

Then we all just sat outside in the nice weather while the kiddos played in the front yard. The theme of the day for the 15-ish-month-olds was "let's push everything around..."

It was a really fun time and not at all intimidating. I'm not much of a "mommy" group type of a person because some women are just so catty and judgmental about everything. Luckily, this group was not that. I'm looking forward to doing this again soon!
